Nerve Gas
| |
The phrase "if the wind is blowing" causes some confusion. You determine if the wind is blowing by following the instructions on the card. Roll a 6-sided die; if the result is 5 or 6, the wind is blowing and it blows the gas into a territory that is adjacent to the target territory.

Remove 1/2
| |
The phrase "remove 1/2 the armies, rounded down" appears on several cards. This phrase is a double negative and can be confusing. To clear things up, think of it as "leave 1/2 the armies, rounded up". To really clear things up, here's a table showing several army sizes, the number to remove, and the number that will remain:
| Initial Armies | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 |
| Armies Removed | 0 | 1 | 1 | 2 | 2 | 3 |
| Armies Remaining | 1 | 1 | 2 | 2 | 3 | 3 |

Saboteur
| |
You may play the Saboteur card against another player only before he or she turns in a card set for bonus armies. If your opponent has already turned in a set, its too late to play the Saboteur card.

Toxic Waste

The effect lasts for only one game turn. Unfortunately, the italicized 1 looks a lot like a 7.
